EnderQuest Murder Mystery

Play Murder Mystery, the popular server minigame, on your own device! One player is selected as the murderer, and must kill everyone else. The others must figure out who the murderer is and defeat them. Choose from any of our 4 handmade maps! Made by EnderQuest Studios

NOTE: You must have at least 3 people to play. We recommend turning off death messages from the game lobby if you do only have 3 players.

When you open up the world, you will spawn into the main lobby.

From there, you’ll be able to go to an information area with how to play info, go to the play section & select a map, or even make your own maps! You can also view the credits there.

Info section:

This area has all of the information you need to play, such as role info & rules. Some important things to remember are:

The murderer should kill everyone
Innocents work together to figure out who the murderer is
Turn off player names in your video settings
Don’t talk once you die

Play section:

From here, you can choose one of the 4 maps to play on. When you step on the pressure plate in the map’s room, you’ll be teleported to a game lobby for that map. There are multiple things you can do here.

You can toggle death messages with this lever(redstone lamp on=death messages on, redstone lamp off=death messages off)

You also grab all of the equipment you need from the chest in the lobby.

Finally, you can start playing by pressing the begin button. Make sure everyone’s in the game lobby and is ready! It also shows the map you’re playing on on the sign by the begin button, and the exit is on the opposite wall of this one. Once you start, you’ll be spawned into the map and a countdown will start. Once it’s finished, you’ll be given one of 2 roles: innocent or murderer.

Innocent: As an innocent, you must figure out who the murderer is and defeat them. Work with other innocents, but make sure the murderer doesn’t trick you.
Murderer: As murderer, you must find and kill all of the innocents. They are just as well armed as you, so make sure you don’t get caught by them!

Gold will also spawn throughout the map, and you can use it to buy items from one of the 3 wandering traders throughout the map.

Prices:

Splash potion of swiftness: 5 gold
Splash potion of night vision: 3 gold
2 poison arrows: 5 gold
Diamond sword: 8 gold

If you die as an innocent, you’ll be able to spectate the map. Don’t say who the murderer is.

Once either the murderer or all of the innocents are killed, the game ends and you’re returned to the game lobby. You’ll also be cleared of everything, so make sure to grab equipment again!

Map making section:

From here, you can get everything you need to build a map. First, go to the chest & read the guidebook, also grab the items in it. You then should go to one of the 2 plots, and place the lobby on the specified block. You can then build the map however you want(max range of 500 blocks). You’ll need to go into creative mode to build a map of course.
