Status Effects Display

Hey you! Yeah, you! The one in front of the screen!

Have you ever wanted to see effects in detailed information instead of just the icons? Tired of the mob effects screen covering up the whole display?

Then Status Effects Display is definitely for you!

⚠ Updates for Status Effects Display will be temporarily halted for now as I am busy with other projects of mine.

Stay tuned on this page for new updates and announcements.

Introduction

Status Effects Display (SED) is a resource pack that enables rich and detailed information about your current status effects directly on the HUD screen without ever having to install additional mods or clients. It's compatible with a large number of resource packs, so you don't need to worry much about incompatibilities or visual glitches.

This pack replaces the mob effects screen with a better version of it. Take a look:

It's also inspired from the effects mod seen in many PvP clients for Java Edition like Lunar Client, Badlion Client, Feather Client, etc.

Here's a comparison between them:

The pack also comes with several display options to fit different types of players, with more coming in the future!

Take a look at the pictures:

Now it's possible to hide the default icons on the right side of the screen! (using the Disable Default MobEffectsHUD extension pack)

All of this is customizable through the gear icon in the settings:

You can...

- use or modify this pack for personal and commercial use

- make a video about this pack and credit me in the description. You also need to add a link leading back to this page.

- modify or distribute this pack as another pack as long as you properly credit me

- look through the code inside and use it as reference for making packs as long as you properly credit me

You cannot...

- claim this pack as yours

- repost this pack to another page without asking for my permission

- make a video about this pack without crediting me

- share the direct download link under any circumstances. Always link back to this page.

Disclaimer

- Resource packs that modify the UI may not be compatible with this pack. It's advised to always put SED on top of the pack hierarchy.

- SED might not work well on phones or consoles. This may be fixed in the upcoming versions of the pack.

- I am not responsible for any damage caused by this pack. Use with caution and responsibility. You have been warned.

FAQs

Q: Is this pack compatible with PvP resource packs?

A: Absolutely! You can use this pack for PvPing, and it works well with other PvP resource packs.

Q: Am I allowed to make a modified copy of this pack or include it in my packs?

AD

A: You're allowed to do so if you have my permission. If you're planning to only use it personally and not commercially, no permission is required. You're not allowed to modify or distribute this resource pack in any way without my permission.

Q: Can I post this resource pack to another forum?

A: You can do that if you have my permission. You're not allowed to post this pack to any other page and claim it as yours without my permission.

Q: Am I allowed to make a video about this pack?

A: Sure! Unlike the above cases, no permission from me is required. You just need to credit me in the description and leave a link leading back to this page.

Q: I've found a bug or I want to suggest something for SED! Where can I do so?

A: Join my Discord server and make a ticket! From there you can report your findings to us or share your opinion about SED.

Q: Will this get me banned on servers?

A: Not likely. This is just a resource pack that grants extra information about your status effects and therefore shouldn't be a problem.

Changelog

v1.0.2

  • Added Disable Default MobEffects for SED, an extension that hides the default effect icons on the right side of the screen

v1.0.1

  • Added Noto Sans for SED, allowing for extra customizability
  • Slightly changed the featured image

Installation

To install the pack, just open the .mcpack file and Minecraft will automatically import it for you. You can then apply the pack in the settings.

The Noto Sans for SED pack is standalone, and does not require you to put it on top of the original Status Effects Display.

The Disable Default MobEffectsHUD for SED pack, however, is an extension and you must put it on top of the official SED builds (like this).

You might notice that when you start getting status effects (by drinking potions, eating food, through commands, etc.), detailed information isn't showing up. It's because you need to activate it through the mob effects screen.

To open the mob effects screen and activate the information overlay:

- Press the Z key by default if you're playing on Windows 10/11 Edition

- Tap on the mob effect icons if you're playing on a touchscreen device (Android, iOS, etc)

- Press the View button by default if you're playing on Xbox One Edition

- Press the - (Minus) button by default if you're playing on Nintendo Switch Edition

- Press the Touchpad button by default if you're playing on PS4/PS5 Edition
