Structure Mob Spawn Tracker

In bedrock edition, Mobs in fortresses, witch huts, pillager outposts, and ocean monuments have structure spawn spots. In order to make these mob farms, you need to find the spawn spots of the structures. This pack helps for those who don't want to use commands or creative mode to find where they spawn!

Appearance

The main pack has a subpack option to hide the spawn egg icon

How does it work?

Pillagers, Witches, Guardians, Blazes, Wither skeletons, Skeletons,  and Zombie Piglins create a custom particle where they first spawn. When they appear, its spawn egg and a white box will show on the ground facing north. The transparency on the white box is to show how many mobs spawned in the same spot. If it is brighter then it could be a spawn spot (like zombie pigman in a crimson forest fortress)

The particle(s) will disappear if any of these three apply:

  • a block is placed inside it (except water)
  • 60 minutes passed since it appeared
  • Transfer to different dimensions (e.g. overworld to nether and back)

Skeletons and Zombie Pigman trackers are separate because

  • Skeletons spawn randomly in the overworld and soul sand valley
  • Zombie pigman can spawn in the crimson forest or nether wastes

Sometimes when you change dimensions the mobs create particles where they appeared last. I set the triggers to only appear if the mob is not moving.

How would the spots appear on the ground?

Mobs spawn on the top left of a block. If you want to find north without additional resource packs, Place an item frame or any other item inside a ground item frame. They always face north but the egg appearance on the floor faces north too

This is the wither skeleton spawn egg and box border. Other mobs like blazes, skeletons, zombie pigman, and magma cubes spawn in fortresses, but magma cubes are not tracked because they place particles when they split up.

This is why I separated pigman and skeletons:

Particles cannot be made visible through walls anymore due to render dragon. Sorry!

Witch huts have one spot. Since they don't spawn all over the overworld that much, they aren't separated into the extension pack.

Some outposts may have 1, 2, or 4 spots, depending on if it crosses a chunk border. I used cobbled deepslate to make a smooth floor for spawn tracking

This is were guardians will spawn. I set the particles to not disappear if inside air or water.

To freeze the guardians so I can show this, I used this command:

/Execute @e[type=guardian] ~~~ tp @s
