Basic Copper - Armor, Weapons and Tools
Why can't you make Copper Armor and Tools in Minecraft? We don't know! What we need, and have here, is a simple addon to enable the creation and use of Copper items. There's also an extra special Guilded set of armor, weapons and tools. Extra strength, extra enchantability.
Copper Tools and Armor
Make your copper tools and armor with exactly the same recipe shapes as any other tool or armor - just use copper ingots. For example here's the recipe for a copper helmet:
All the usual tools and armor are now available in copper. They can be repaired with copper ingots or by combining with the equivalent copper item. The copper pickaxe can generally mine the same blocks as an iron pickaxe.

Guilded Tools and Armor
This wasn't exactly necessary, but why not! To make these, grab any item of copper (armor or tools) that you wish to be guilded, and eight gold ingots. Arrange like the below guilded helmet recipe to make them:
The advantage of guilded is they are much stronger, and more enchantable than copper (or even iron) items. Further the guilded pickaxe can mine Netherack without taking damage! The guilded pickaxe can generally mine the same blocks as a diamond pickaxe.
They can be repaired with copper or gold ingots, or with the equivalent gilded item.

A simple quality 'chart' shows where these tools and armor fit in with standard Minecraft tools and armor. Weakest to strongest we have:
- Leather
- Gold
- Copper
- Iron
- Guilded
- Diamond
- Netherite
