DEADLY MODE (Increased Mob Health, Damage, Speed & Hunger)
For those looking for another challenge in Minecraft without going to a full hardcore mode where you only live once, give Deadly Mode a try and see how good you can be against increased mobs damage, health, and speed.
Features:
This is a challenging mode for Minecraft that still allows the player to respawn, but will be severely challenged with increased threats, these are:
- Double Mob Health (Hostile & Passive Mobs)
- Double Mob Damage (Hostile & Passive Mobs)
- Increased Mob Speed
- Increased Arrow Damage
- Increased Phantom Spawn Rate
- Increased Player Hunger
- Reduced Food Saturation
- Decreased Oxygen For Swimming
- Added Exhaustion Level
- Phantom Spawn Insomnia Reduced
- Player Fists Do No Damage
Survival Suggestions:
Quickly make a crafting chest and tools. Keep some of logs to make a campfire so you can preserve some coal/charcoal. Kill as many animals as possible for the raw food and cook it through the night on the campfire. If you are lucky enough to find a spider and kill it, use the string to make a fishing pole as soon as possible and get yourself some kind of shelter near water and fish up as much as you can. Fishing is an invaluable source of food early on – especially if phantoms are plaguing you.
Additional Phantom Toughness:
For those looking for just a bit more excitement, I suggest disabling the Day / Night Cycle and setting the time to midnight. Both of which can be done with commands. Ensure cheats are activated and then type the following without quotes: “/gamerule dodaylightcycle false”, then type: “/time set midnight”.
For Bedrock Server Administrators:
This mod since it is just modifying the vanilla behavior pack and will NOT require any mod to be forced to the clients when they connect. This is a small bonus for admins who want to keep as vanilla experience as possible on their server.
Installation
From PC: Simply double click on the .mcaddon file to add it directly to Minecraft. Once inside Minecraft when creating a new world, on the navigate down to the bottom in the Add-Ons section, click on Behavior Packs. Then under "My Packs" click on "Antieon's Deadly Mode" and click "Activate", then create your new world.
