Weather Addon V1.16

Have you ever wanted Tornadoes inside of Minecraft Bedrock Edition? Well, now you can! Hi, I'm Jeremiah and I introduce to you the Minecraft Weather Addon. This add-on has been my dream project. However, back then, I didn't know how to do everything I can now. This addon has been a learning curve and, taught me much about what I can do as a creator. So I hope you all enjoy this add-on, especially all you die-hard Minecraft weather fans.

This add-on is nowhere near completion. It still has a pretty long way to go before it's done. So more than likely, there are going to be bugs and errors that you do happen to come across. So if you spot any, be sure to report it to me by messaging me on Discord.

My discord username is Jeremiah6183 (formerly known as jeremiah#6183)

Tornadoes

EF0

The EF0 is the weakest tornado, only doing minor damage to builds and trees. The tornado will not pick up any mobs, but rather drag them across the surface when in its path! If the player gets too close, the player will be given jump boost and slow-falling, to simulate a low-gravity effect. However, don't take this tornado for granted, it is the fastest-moving one, being able to go in many different directions, making it the most sporadic!

-The EF0 travels 0.28 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The EF0 can pick up all leave types from trees

-The EF0 also creates a small path underneath it, to match the size of the funnel

-The EF0 can move in 7 directions

EF1

The EF1 is way stronger than the EF0, being able to destroy entire builds! If they're made out of wood that is. The EF1 can also pick up mobs, unlike the EF0, which just drags them. However, the EF1 can also pick up players! So be careful when near them, we wouldn't want any accidents, would we?

-The EF1 travels 0.27 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The EF1 can grab certain blocks below them

-The EF1 also creates a path underneath it, to match the size of the funnel

-The EF1 can move in 2 directions

-The EF1 can pick up mobs, including players

EF2

The EF2 is essentially the same as the EF1, just a bit more destructive! However, not only is the funnel larger and more of a wedge, but it can grab blocks and players from a larger radius! So be careful! You also spin around the tornado way quicker than the EF1.

-The EF2 travels 0.25 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The EF2 can grab certain blocks below them

-The EF2 also creates a path underneath it, to match the size of the funnel

-The EF2 can move in 1 direction

-The EF2 can pick up mobs, including players

EF3

The EF3 is currently the strongest tornado in the entire add-on. Being able to destroy around 90% of a village, in one swipe! Well, depending on the angle at least. They also pick up way more blocks compared to the EF0 - EF2 combined! They can also pick you up from more than 100 blocks away! That's not all, they also launch you way farther than the EF1 and EF2 and cause more damage on impact!

-The EF3 travels 0.24 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The EF3 can grab certain blocks below them

-The EF3 picks up way more blocks than normal

-The EF3 also creates a path underneath it, to match the size of the funnel

-The EF3 can move in 1 direction

-The EF3 can pick up mobs, including players

-The EF3 launches players way farther than normal

Waterspouts

Fairweather-Waterspout (EF0)

The Fairweather-Waterspout (EF0) is probably the weakest type of tornado there is, being even weaker than the EF0! This Waterspout can only drag sea life, boats, rafts, and also cows. You're probably wondering, why cows, well, it's a reference!

-The Fairweather-Waterspout EF0 travels 0.15 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The Fairweather-Waterspout EF0 can drag sea life, boats, rafts, and cows

Fairweather-Waterspout (EF1)

The Fairweather-Waterspout (EF1) is a tad bit stronger than its EF0 counterpart! Being able to actually lift up sea life, boats, rafts, and cows!

-The Fairweather-Waterspout (EF1) travels 0.27 blocks every 0.01 seconds

-The Fairweather-Waterspout (EF1) can pick up sea life, boats, rafts, and cows

I do plan on giving the waterspouts some cool additions in the future, but for now, they don't do much!

Firenadoes

Radar Block

Radar Block

The Radar Block is probably the coolest feature in the entire add-on! Having many features that will enhance the survival experience in the add-on! Well, until Mojang breaks scripts with another update of course.

Features

Classic Mode

Classic Mode is the default Radar Mode that is applied. Classic Mode basically shows the icons of the tornadoes, in a very choppy state. Only being able to show the icons in 8 different directions, while barely moving on the Radar at all.

Realtime-Tracking Mode

Realtime-Tracking Mode is probably the second coolest mode for the Radar! The reason why is that it can literally track any tornado at its accurate position! Just by using like 20 lines of code in a script! Definitely, an improvement, considering Classic Mode uses around 2,500 lines of code!

Visual Mode

Visual Mode is personally my favorite mode that is currently available! Not only does it track storms in real time, but it also creates a miniature tornado on the Radar itself!

Tornado Siren Block

Tornado Siren Block

The Tornado Siren Block is a very useful feature, which will act like a real tornado siren! The siren will go off when a tornado is within a 170-block range.

Features

The Tornado Siren Block also has some unique features! For starters, there can only be one siren per 30 blocks. No this will not remove the siren, but it will deactivate them; which will turn red.

The siren will also deactivate when a player is no longer near the siren. However, this does not mean that a player can place a siren in the same area if they are slightly outside the range. It will still deactivate any new siren, even though it's not active itself.

Tornado Item Recipe

Tornado Menu

-The Tornado Menu, will open up a GUI that will allow you to summon every kind of tornado, in any location within your area!

Tornado Spawner

-The Tornado Spawner, can be used by moderators inside of the world, to spawn an EF1 Tornado. Anyone who isn't an Operator will instantly get the item removed from their inventory slot!

Tornado Item

-The tornado item, doesn't really do much, at least by itself. The item can be crafted with 4 pieces of string and 1 diamond.

-The item can be used to help craft the radar block, which is very expensive!

Tornado Siren Entity (discontinued)

-Can cause sirens to blair, if a tornado is approximately within 170 blocks from the siren

-Siren will rotate 360° when a tornado is near

-Siren will stop playing sounds when a tornado is nowhere to be found, or when a player leaves a certain distance

Satellite Entity (discontinued)

The satellite is a very unique addition to the add-on. Being able to track where a tornado's location is, and display it on the bottom of your screen. However, it could only track one storm at a time, which made it very inefficient. Which is why I decided to stop working on it. I might come back to it in the future, to possibly fix bugs, that may occur later on.

Once again, this add-on is still under development and is not finished completely just yet. So there are still some bugs that you may experience when playing the add-on.

Can tornadoes naturally spawn?

Yes! Indeed they can! Tornadoes can actually spawn naturally in the game.

What happens if the player doesn't get picked up by the tornadoes?

This is usually not the case anymore, with newer versions. However, if it does happen to you at all, just type in the command "/tag @s remove ALD" or the command "/tag @s remove OG". That should fix the player from not being picked up by the tornadoes.

Can tornadoes pick you up in creative?

Tornadoes cannot pick you up in creative mode, however, there are options in the settings GUI, to change whether or not you get picked up in creative/survival.

Can waterspouts spawn naturally like Tornadoes?

Yes! In the latest version, waterspouts can now naturally spawn just like tornadoes! They typically spawn near beaches, or out in the middle of the ocean.

Do you need to enable any Toggles when making the world?

Yes! I would recommend enabling all of the addon creator toggles, so nothing breaks!

Warning

If you are on a mobile device. I recommend the lowest settings when you are playing with this add-on. This add-on can get quite laggy at times, and if you're playing on an older device, your device might not be able to handle the number of particles being displayed on your screen!
