Mo'Magic is an add-on to be used in conjunction with Mo'Dungeons or as a standalone add-on! It adds new magical items, corruption mechanics, entitlesΒ and much more into the wonderful world of Minecraft!

This add-on is compatible with all platforms of Minecraft Bedrock Edition and is playable with anyone!

Mo'Magic is a growing add-on currently in its first Beta test introducing new magical items such as the Lightning Staff and Necromancers Staff, it adds in new mechanics for a spreading "corruption" within Minecraft which can be started after defeating the Lich boss and adds many more beyond that, feel free to check the spoilers below for information on items, bosses, corruption, entities, blocks and mana/magic levels. πŸ™‚

Corruption

So, you are interested in reading up on the corruption? Good choice! Let me explain how it works and what it does in the game!

Β  The corruption is started by placing the necromancers soul, this item is acquired by defeating the Lich boss.

The corruption will spread across your world corrupting any and all blocks within its path, the only solutions to stop it are to "contain" it or use the hallow to cure the corruption. (Hallow is not currently implemented)

The corruption will unlock new ores, items and entities as it spreads further; however as it spreads further it gains a higher score value and becomes stronger being able to turn entities such as zombies into corrupted variants and spawning pylons which periodically spawn corrupted entities and much more!

The corruption will slow you down as you walk on it and will give you mining fatigue making it difficult to traverse through the territory as well as mine within it!

It is recommended to create a containment site for the corruption to learn and understand how it works, a good idea would be to disconnect an island from any touching blocks it can spread to and observing it in a contained environment!Β 

If you are a being of pure chaos and want to delve into the pure chaotic nature of the corruption? Then by all means let it spread as far as it wants, but be warned it WILL become unstoppable unless you have multiple payers to help contain it or have an elaborate system to disconnect it from your "natural" territory and even then it is highly unlikely you will stop it! All it takes is one corrupted block and it could end your world.

Magical Items

Β 

Lightning Staff

The lightning staff is a magical staff that within a minimum radius of 2 blocks away from the player to a max of 20 blocks away will strike any and all monsters with a Lightning Bolt

To craft this mystical weapon you must first acquire the lightning crystal from the underground Zeus shrine

Once you have acquired the lightning crystal you can then use it within the necromantic altar to craft the lightning staff.

This staff requires 20 Mana/use and requires level 0 Magic to use.

(For testing purposes the Lightning staff is given upon loading into the game as of Beta Test 1!)

Necromancers Staff

This staff is gained by crafting it within the necromantic altar with 2 corrupted sticks and 1 Amethyst block.

This staff costs 100 Mana/use and requires level 1 magic to use.

This staff summons 3 Friendly Zombies and 2 friendly Skeletons to fight for you for 1200 ticks.

Magic Books given upon loading in

These magical books are VERY important and must be looked after at ALL costs.

They are responsible for allowing you to see what your current magic level is and the ability to turn on and off the mana bar being shown indefinitely or only shown during casting!

If you lose these books for whatever reason you can check the creative menu and type "book" and all three should show up, they will be craftable in later builds!

Mana/Magic Levels

Β 

Magic levels and Mana level in conjunction with each other, each level you gain up to a maximum of 20 allows for an increase of 30 to your max mana

Mana regen occurs every 2 seconds.

Certain magical items require certain magical levels to use, for example; you have a Staff that requires level 1 to use but you're still level 0, you can't use it till you're level 1!

XP is gained at a rate of 1 XP per spell use, so to reach Level 1 from Level 0 you must use a staff 100 times and from level 1 - 2 you must use a spell 220 times.Β 

HOWEVER your XP does NOT reset, so once you reach level 1 after using a spell 100 times you keep that 100 XP, so in reality you only need 120 more uses of the spell from levels 1 - 2

Another way to explain it is to reach max level you must use a spell 7000 times before you reach max rank, however you can use any spell, all of them grant 1 XP per use!

Corrupted Zombies

The corrupted zombie is currently the only corruptible entity as of Beata Test 1, however he is fully functional with only thing left to be done are newer models and textures!

The corrupted zombie will spread the corruption, initially being created by a zombie standing on the corruption.

He will attack any and all mobs, spreading the corruption to them all!

If he attacks another zombie he will infect them and they WILL turn, guaranteed.Β 

They can not be cured.

Pegasus

Currently their is a pegasus in the game, however he is not findable and can only be summoned in via /summon or via an egg from the creative menu

He is fully functional with flying capabilities and tame ability, however his animations and models need updating!

He is based off a friend I used to have, however since I went through the effort of making him I have left him in.

Lich of Baradur

The Lich of Baradur is an unholy abomination, once a player now a former ghost of themselves, succumbing to the darkness of Necromancy.

The Lich of Baradur can be spawned by finding his magical tower within the overworld, to spawn him all you need to do is go to the top and right click the necromantic altar.

Necromantic Altar

The necromantic altar can be found upon killing the Lich of Baradur boss and is used to craft magical items

Rune Carver

The rune carver is still a WIP and has no functionality in Beta test 1

Rune Blocks

Rune blocks are still a WIP in conjunction with the rune carver and are purely for decoration as of Beta test 1

1. Make sure to have ALL experimental gameplays active, this is a MUST have for this add-on to work!
2. To cheatingly acquire items from the add-on type in chat with cheats enabled "/give @s mc:" then the items will show for you to select

Installation

Follow the link to our website, once on our website click the "download" button and it should proceed to take you to Linkvertise where you can complete the tasks assigned which once done will proceed to take you to the mediafire download!

Once downloaded double click the add-on and it should import two files, one a resource pack and another a behaviour pack.Β 

Create a new world and turn on both of these packs, then make sure all experimental gameplays are active and then you are ready to play!
