Swords+ Addon
Do you like swords in Minecraft? But do you think that there is not enough of them? Well this addon will add over 20 new swords to the game, all of which are craftable and some even having special abilities! Enjoy it!
ENABLE EXPERIMENTAL GAMEPLAY IN WORLD SETTINGS. If you don’t, the new items won’t show up.
There are a total of twenty-three new swords added in this addon as said above, with many of them being variants for already existing swords. All swords are crafted in the exact same way as you would make one, one stick at the bottom of the crafting grid and two materials on the slots above. You can also obtain all swords by typing /function swords in the chat. Let’s take a look at them!
Wood Swords:
Normally, there is only one wood sword variant that all wood plank types will craft into, but now each wood type has a corresponding sword! They all have the same stats, but have different looks to give some nice spice to the wooden swords. However, the crafting recipes are currently bugged so that the other wood types will still turn into a normal wooden sword, the only two that will work are the warped and crimson swords
There is also a Bamboo Sword! This sword deals as much damage as an iron sword, but can only withstand a few hits before breaking so use it carefully!
Stone Swords:
There are now new stone sword types, as well! Granite, Andesite, Diorite and Blackstone will now craft into unique swords with a unique appearance, other then the average Stone Sword. However, the Diorite, Andesite and Granite recipes are currently bugged so that they will always turn into the Andesite Sword regardless of which one you use, this will be fixed eventually
There’s also an End Stone Sword and a Netherrack Sword, craftable using End Stone and Netherrack respectively. The End Stone one deals the same damage as the other stone swords but has much higher durability. The Netherrack Sword is very weak in both damage and durability, you only really need it if you don’t have any other weapons or can’t make any. Additionally, you can make a Obsidian Sword by surrounding a diamond sword with obsidian and crying obsidian. It is super powerful but will slow you down when moving.
Mineral Swords:
While there are quite a few minerals in Minecraft you can obtain, only four of them can be crafted into swords and other gear. Now, an additional five more can be made into swords, too! The Redstone Sword, Emerald Sword, Lapis Sword, Quartz Sword and Coal Sword are all craftable with their respective materials. The Redstone Sword gives a significant speed boost when held, the Emerald Sword gives a health boost when held and the Lapis Sword gives a bit of both! However, the three of them don’t deal that much damage and have not too much durability. The Quartz Sword doesn’t have any special abilities but deals more damage and has better durability then the others. The Coal Sword is just a fairly simple weapon that might be useful earlier on in the game.
Other Swords:
There is currently three additional swords, which are the Magma Sword, the Slime Sword and the Honey Sword! You can craft the Magma Sword like a sword, however you have to use a stick instead of a Blaze Rod, and magma block on top of the rod, then surrounding it with Magma Cream. This sword isn’t too powerful but will grant fire resistance while being held, but it also grants mining fatigue, making this more of an item that can be used as a weapon but also works well for navigating! The slime sword is crafted just like a regular sword but with slimeballs on the top. The slime sword doesn’t deal much damage and has relatively low durability, but you run faster and jump a little higher while holding it! To make the Honey Sword, place a golden sword in the middle of the crafting table grid, then a Honey Bottle on top of it. While this sword deals even less damage then the slime sword and slows you down while holding it, you gain some extra health! This sword also has fairly good durability!
*Added a function command which gives you all swords added by this addon. The command is /function swords
*Sorted the positions of the images on the page. Previously, they were all clumped together which made the page look quite messy
*Reduced amount of health given by the lapis sword, but increased the amount given by the emerald sword
*Updated textures of Warped Sword, Quartz Sword and Magma Sword
*Further nerfed the damage and durability of the Obsidian Sword
*Added more info onto the page, and a reminder to ENABLE EXPERIMENTAL GAMEPLAY!!!
*Fixed the Obsidian Sword making you run super fast while holding it, it now instead makes you very slow. Dunno what caused this ._.
