It's that time of year again and Christmas is just around the corner! Have you ever wanted new festive treats added to Minecraft? Have you ever wanted new festive blocks to collect and build with? Well if you have ever wanted any of these things this add-on is perfect for you! Celebrate Christmas with your friends or in single player Minecraft worlds with new festive treats and blocks to build with!
Stockings!
You can gift your friends tools with stockings and they even change texture based on what tool they are hiding!
Stocking
Stockings have a stack size of 64 and can be placed on sides of blocks.
Stockings are also 2d
Stockings can store :
- Wooden Tools
- Stone Tools
- Iron Tools
- Golden Tools
- Diamond Tools
- Netherite Tools
(Works like a item frame)
Build your own Nutcracker Village!
Dev Note : Nutcrackers according to german folklore were given as keepsakes to bring luck to the family and keeps evil spirits away! So I decided to make the nutcrackers throw tiny snowballs at Vexes and Phantoms but they are not tameable.
Nutcrackers
Nutcrackers have adult and baby variants
Babies scale is 0.15
Adults scale is 0.3
To get a baby Nutcracker you need to click on an adult Nutcracker with a stripped oak log. (This process is called duping) (Works like Allays)
Health : 35
Nutcrackers like to stay near village blocks.
Nutcrackers help protect you and their village from Vexes and Phantoms by shooting tiny snowballs at them.
Nutcrackers will also attack you if you attack them.
To start a Nutcracker Village you first need to craft the Magic Fountain!
The magic fountain will spawn 1 Nutcracker when placed down.
The magic fountain does not drop itself when broken to stop people trying to exploit this.
Afterwards you can craft Nutcracker Houses and Nutcracker Roads
Expand the village by placing more and more Nutcracker houses and connecting them with Nutcracker Roads
To get more Nutcrackers you need to duplicate them by giving an adult Nutcracker some stripped oak log.
After you can upgrade the village even more with magical temples.
Ice Temple
Gives all nutcrackers health boost 2 in a 20 block radius.
Snow Temple
Gives all nutcrackers absorption in a 20 block radius.
These Festive Treats can help you fight your way through the overworld, help you survive the harsh and fiery land of the nether and save you from falling to your deaths in the end and more!
Dev note : For candy canes I tried making sure they weren't just potion effects and they had some really unique abilities so the player could use them differently and in different ways across the different dimensions. (The lime and green candy cane is also my fav for this reason)
To get the candy canes you must find the giant candy canes that spawn in snowy and cold biomes.
Giant candy canes spawn in these biomes :
- Jagged Peaks
- Snowy Slopes
- Taiga
- Grove
- Frozen Peaks
- Frozen and cold biomes
Red Candy Cane
Red Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten :
- If you're on fire it will give you 20 seconds of fire resistance 1.
- If you're not on fire it will give you 10 seconds of absorption 1.
Orange Candy Cane
Orange Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten they set mobs on fire in a 10 block radius
Magenta Candy Cane
Magenta Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten :
Removes the levitation effect from the player.
Lime Candy Cane
Lime Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible
When eaten :
- In a swamp it spawns 3 slimes
- In Every Other biome it gives you jump boost 2 for 12 seconds
Green Candy Cane
Green Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten :
Places a block bubble around you. Only works if your standing on snow, stone, netherack, endstone, ice, dirt, grass, deepslate, dripstone_block, netherrack, basalt, obsidian.
The block bubble is unbreakable to fist and pickaxes and disappear after 15 ticks.
Golden Candy Cane
Golden Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
Craftable with 8 gold ingots and 1 red candy cane.
When eaten :
- If you have 3 or less hearts it will give you resistance 1, regeneration 2, health boost 1, absorption 1 for 30 seconds
- If you have over 3 hearts it will give you, regeneration 1, health boost 1, absorption 1 for 22 seconds
Blue Candy Cane
Blue Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten :
- If you're in water it will give you water breathing for 20 seconds
- If you're nearby lava it will turn it into magma in a 3 by 3 square
Black Candy Cane
Black Candy Canes have a stack size of 16 and are edible.
When eaten :
- Gives all mobs around them fatal poison in a 8 block radius for 12 seconds!
- Places tnt at your feet
