Useful Particles (Resource Packs)
These are particle packs that can help out players in different ways. Some can help with mob farms, finding world chunks, seeing the attack ranges of the warden, seeing health on a mob, finding invisible wandering traders, identifying spawn spots of a structure like fortresses and ocean monuments, or brightening the screen to help you see in very dark caves. Others can show invisible spectator players, display the simulation distance, or show the explosion range of creepers.

List of resource packs:
Distance from blocks
- Shows the distance from your location to an armor stand (holding a fishing rod) or fishing hook.
- Fishing rod distance has a max of 32 blocks. The armor stand one shows farther than 70 blocks.
- To turn off, remove the fishing hook or destroy the armor stand holding a fishing rod.
- The numbers have a transparency of 50%.

Chunk borders
- Shows the 16 by 16 area you are in, and only shows around the local player.
- This works in both first person and third person modes.
- There are no bottom or top grids, but the borders move vertically based on the Y axis every 2 blocks
- If one of the following conditions apply, the chunk borders show. If not,
- Any arrow is in your offhand
- Any arrow is in your main hand
- Any type of firework rocket is in your offhand
- If viewed in third person mode close to the edge, the particles show on both sides.
- If you choose an always-on mode, the chunk borders will always show regardless of what you have equipped. The transparency for most always-on subpacks is set to 0.25, but the shading mode is set to 0.5

Creeper ranges
- Creates circles made out of the side TNT block to show the explosion ranges of creepers, and see them from farther distances.

Critical hit sounds from Java Edition
- Attaches the critical hit sounds from java edition to the critical emitter.

Elder guardian mining fatigue distances
- Known as "Mining fatigue Distance" in the actual title.
- Shows giant circles that use the mining fatigue effect icon to indicate how far elder guardians can inflict mining fatigue
- The particles turn red when you are within the range, which is 50 blocks.

Experience Orb Path Tracking
- Experience orbs show a red trail wherever it moves.
- The trail disappears when the orb is collected or after 30 seconds pass
- The color slowly fades to white after some time.

Gamma booster
- Slightly increases the brightness by adding a white screen shade surrounding the local player.
- To activate, hold a torch and sneak. This immediately deactivates when there are no torches in any hotbar slots.
- There is an option for it to always show

Health Bars
- Shows the health of all vanilla mobs.
- Will not show if an entity has more than 999 health
- Health is hidden when the mob has a rider because the numbers block your view when on a horse.
- Health is colored red when the mob has 1/4 max health.

Hostile Mob Warnings
- Shows a sound icon and plays a loud mob related sound when starting to target an enemy. exceptions are dead mobs and villagers.

Invisible Mob Indicator
- Shows an invisibility icon if the mob is invisible, in spectator game mode, or 70 blocks away from the player's camera.
- Icon transparency is 75%

Mob Locators
- Shows a vertical line and the associated mob heads similar to the spawn trackers. Mainly useful for for checking which caves are unlit and searching for mobs in general.
- The lines go upwards to about 200 blocks

End city:

Nether Coordinates Converter
- Shows current coordinates and converted coordinates for nether >> overworld or overworld >> nether.
- Go to third person to see your coordinates and hold dirt or netherrack. Netherrack or dirt icons are bigger depending on what block is held.
- This shows for only the player in third person.
- Y coordinates never change.
- Using netherrack divides x and z by 8 and is recommended to be used in the overworld.
- Using dirt multiplies x and z by 8 and is recommended to use in the nether.

Particle Developer Tools
- Place a chicken to see the number of emitters (top) and particles (bottom) currently in the world.
- Every time any of these numbers pass 1000, the color fades closer to a red tint.
- The other particle pack enabled is the mining fatigue distance for testing

Player Experience Levels
- Shows the experience levels on all players.
- If a player has 0 levels, the numbers are invisible.
- Also works on players generated with gametest-related fake player addons and players created by /summon command (if a behavior pack enables summoning them)

Projectile Guides
- Players show predicted movement particles based on the item they are holding.
- ender pearls
- snowballs
- eggs
- tridents
- arrows (hold bow or crossbow instead of arrows)
- Projectile guide particles have 50% transparency
- They do not show on other players or in third person mode.
- The projectiles also show trails of where they move, but they don't generate past 70 blocks. This does not work on tridents unfortunately.

The trails:

Sculk Shrieker Warden Spawn Range
- Creates an outline out of half transparent particles to show where wardens can spawn based on the center of the shrieker.
- Activates only when shrieker particles show.
- Can show where shriekers are if you find them in ancient cities behind blocks.
- Particles remain where they are until you move at least 24 blocks away.
- There is a white line in the middle to show what Y level it is on.

Simulation Distance Ranges
- This pack shows the simulation distance at an armor stand based on the subpack chosen.
- Choose the pack setting that matches the one on your world. If you are on a realm, then select the default option (distance 4)
- Place an armor stand and make it hold an arrow.
- The entire marker is one giant particle that renders across multiple chunks.
- If the particle does not show up, check the red box that appears.
- Place the armor stand at the X and Z position of the gray box or else it will not work. I made this part due to chunk aligning limitations I faced when creating this.
- Make sure the armor stand is on a solid block, centered, and not moved by a piston or water.
There are two options for each simulation distance. One of them is normal and the other shows the areas that mobs do not spawn in red. The screenshots below are examples of the two options for simulation distance 6.

And try not to stack them or else it will look like this:

Simulation Distance Borders
- Shows gray and half transparent borders of the simulation distance for the local player,
- Not to be confused with the previous pack.
- There is a pack option for each simulation distance setting: 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12.

Spawn Ranges
- Shows the mob spawn ranges from a specific spot. Use the stationary mode by sneaking and holding a Redstone Torch.
- Takes about 8 seconds to create the circle.
- Can be seen from any distance.
- Has pack settings to choose stationary ranges 24-44 or 24-128, or moving ranges of 24, 44, or 128.
- [Stationary only] Touch the box in the center when it is large to remove the sphere. It cannot be removed if the sphere is not fully created.
- The edge of the circles show the distance in numbers, and they turn grey when you are outside that range.
- When using any subpack that involves the sphere moving, they always show and do not require anything

Stationary:

Spawn Trackers
- Creates mob head icons (can be toggled in pack settings) and a box showing the part of the block the mob spawned on.
- Transparency on the white box is for checking how many mobs spawned in the same spot.
- Particles are removed when you place a block where it is or change dimensions and are never cleared automatically.
- Can be used to spot any possible mob spawns in an unlit area or identify spawn spots in a structure.
- If a spawn marker is not perfectly aligned to a block, then either it is not actually a structure/normal mob spawn, or a slime spawned there.
- Mob head icons are slightly higher than the white and yellow square.

Status Icons
Shows icons for mobs if the following applies:
- [Iron helmet] An undead mob that burns in daylight has a helmet equipped.
- [Fire resistance effect] Fire immune
- [Snowball] Shaking (Piglin transforming to zombie, zombie villager curing, mob freezing in powder snow, etc)
- [Red warning] Has target (commonly known as attacking, but not for villagers)
- [Yellow warning] Is using ranged attack.
- [Heart] Is in love (breeding)
- [Turtle egg] Is pregnant (turtle)
- [Iron shovel] Is laying an egg (turtle)
- [Name tag] Has a custom name (disabled for players)

Villager Particle tweaks
- Adds sounds, increased the size, adjusted how long they appear for, and ignores lighting. Sound can be toggled off in pack settings.
- The villager haggle sound is used.
- Check the showcase video for the sound

Warden Distances
Vibration detection (sculk sensor icons):
- Outlines 16*16 circle.
- show how far it can detect vibrations.
- always visible.
Sniff range:
- Outlines 24*24 and 5*20 circles.
- Show how far it can sniff enemies.
- becomes large when the warden is actively sniffing around, and is light blue.
- Turns black when the warden is angry.
- There are two sniff ranges important for wardens. See "sniff range facts" below.
Sonic boom range:
- Outlines a 15*20 circle.
- Turns red and large when actively using sonic boom, it is white when the warden is not charging.
- Only visible if the warden is angry and targeting an enemy.
Sniff range facts about mobs near wardens:
- Farther than 24 blocks: cannot sniff the mob.
- Within 24 blocks but not in the 5 horizontal 20 vertical: moves to target but anger level does not increase.
- Within 24 blocks and is in 5*20 range: moves to target and increases anger level. aka "suspicious sniffing range"
- Darkness effect range is about the same as the big sniff range.

Notes:
- Due to the requirement of player.entity.json for functionality on players, character creator skins and capes may show up as the old Steve model.
- If you know how to manually combine JSON data of multiple addons containing player.entity.json, you can use useful particles with anything else using that file.
- Any mention of "local player" means only the player can see the specific particles around themselves
- Shields may be lower for Windows players depending on skins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Support for 1.20.50 and later
- Fixed the particles that were redirected to 0, 0, 0 by adding the proper render controllers. Examples of affected packs are the health bars, mob status, and nether coordinates converter
- To use these packs on an older version, change "min_engine_version" in the manifest.json files manually to your game version. Note that attempting to use on older versions may not work properly!
- White screen shade is renamed to gamma booster
- Re-added the option to limit which spawn egg icons show on mob spawn trackers in the pack settings
- Tweaked the projectile guides and added trails to the actual projectiles. Note that this is only visible within the 70 blocks view distance.
- Removed the horn sound effect from hostile warnings and added the wither skeleton sounds
- Changed the spawn egg icons on the spawn trackers pack to mob head icons. The icons were downloaded from the Wiki: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Spawn_Egg
- Chunk border packs now have an always on mode.
new packs:
- Creeper ranges: shows explosion range of a creeper by 6 blocks using the side of TNT icons
- Mob locators: shows an upwards grey line and the mob's associated head icon up to about 200 blocks, and the line is invisible when the local player is within 10 blocks of the mob. The settings for this pack are similar to the spawn trackers pack.
- Simulation distance borders: creates a border of the simulation distance based on the pack option and always follows the local player.
Installation
- You may use part of this only after asking permission, and you must link this page to give credits. If you are using for a personal pack that only you get then you don't need to ask me.
- You may not upload to other sites, claim as your own, or share the direct MediaFire folder link to anyone. The only exception is if Boostellar is not working properly.
