Minecraft Bedrock: ScoreBoards CONFIRMED!
The Bedrock Engine and and Java Edition have a lot of differences. From the code bases to the graphics to the features of the game. But one thing the developers are trying to bridge is what features are missing from the Bedrock Edition. There are quite a few features missing from Bedrock which are on Java and one of them is scoreboards. But that could change because scoreboards have been confirmed to be coming!
What are scoreboards?
Scoreboards are a way to track on if a player does a certain action and how many times they do it. From the image above, I set the deathcount to be at the side of the screen and it says hahaha when i die. This can be useful to see how many times a certian person has died. But this is just the very basics of it all.
Who is porting the scoreboards over to Bedrock?
Currently, it is Murtag who is bringing them over.
When will this be out?
They have no idea. From the image above, Murtag confirms that there is A LOT of functionalities with scoreboards so it will take quite a bit of time to get them all right and working.
Will there be any differences between Java scoreboards and Bedrock scoreboards?
Hopefully not. Murtag confirms that they want to try to keep the functionalities all the same between Java and Bedrock but if they have issues with one of the,, they will find another way to add it.
