Minecraft Bedrock Nintendo Switch News- Sneak Peak Livestream.

This is the first screen you see when you launch the game.

The developers did a surprise stream of Minecraft Bedrock Nintendo Switch on 13th February 2018. 3 Minecraft team members showcased this which are Gartzke, Helen and Justin.

The did NOT reveal a release date
This was a previous build of the game so the game is going to be buggy and a few bugs were found but they will be fixed. It is NOT in certification testing yet.

Mario

The Mario Mash-up pack will be a Nintendo Switch EXCLUSIVE DLC. This is due to Mario being a Nintendo Exclusive DLC and they want the DLC to remain Nintendo Switch Exclusive.

In the above image, it shows what will happen if you try to load the Mario Mash-up pack world. Sadly due to the exclusive DLC, it does NOT allow cross-platform play, but you can play with other Nintendo Switch consoles in the Mario mask up a pack.

In the above image, there is a dev confirming the price for the mario mash up pack which is ONLY on Nintendo Switch.

If you are playing with a Mario skin and you try to join an online game, you will get the above message. You can either continue but turn off cross-platform play or you can change your skin.

In the above clip, it is confirmation that a Microsoft Account is NOT needed to play this game. You can 100% play this game without a Microsoft account. However, you require a Microsoft Account if you want to play servers, play with people who are playing on a device which is not a Nintendo Switch, realms or the marketplace.

This is a cool feature! If you log into a Windows 10 PC and use the web code then you use a generated code, you can log in with your Microsoft account. You do NOT need a Xbox Live account. All you need is a Microsoft account. Whether thats a OneDrive account or a Outlook account.

You will have the option of joining either Nintendo Switch Friends on your friend lists or Join people which are not on a Nintendo Console such as Xbox One or an Android phone.

There will be 2 typed of Network modes: Online and Local.
Online means playing with people on the internet, either with or without a Nintendo Console.
Local means that you can play with people on a LAN connection, as long as you are near them.

There were 4 servers showcased: PVP, Lifeboat, CubeCraft and Mineplex. CubeCraft has announced a while ago but isn't ready yet to be released. This is an old build as well..

This is the message you get when you load up the marketplace. You can either keep it on one device or have it on your Microsoft Account.

Settings

In this build, there were 14 chunks of render distance in both docked and handheld mode. This is going to change before full release. The ticking distance is also 8 chunks.

World Conversion for the Nintendo Switch will be even better then when it came out on Xbox One. Xbox One will get the bug fixes which are on the Nintendo Switch aswell.

There will be "Friendly Fire" which is known to most people as PVP and this can either be enabled or disabled with the world options.

Here is Helen playing in handheld mode and showing off touch. The Legacy Console Edition had partly touch but you can edit your inventory using ONLY touch.

This was a pre-release build. The developers were very kind to show it off to us and for us to see how it performs.
