Minecraft Bedrock Nintendo Switch News- So far.

As the days and weeks go by, people who own Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition or who just want to see the new Bedrock Engine on Switch, always wonder, "Hmm... I wonder what Bedrock will have" or "What will it look like?" Some people may think that the developers aren't sharing much information with us at all. Whereas in fact, we have been given a bit of news.

As you can see from the image above, it is a Nintendo Switch running the Bedrock Engine. This was our first time seeing it. It looks exactly as it does from the Android, iOS or Windows 10 versions. However, this version has a touchscreen as well.

In the image above, this is a tweet from a developer on the 5th February 2018. As you can see, they confirm that multiplayer has been tested. They also tested local split-screen multiplayer so if you and your friends have 2 controllers (Not Joycons) then you can both play together on 1 screen.

As you can see in the Twitch clip above, our very own community manager, Helen Angel, confirms that the Nintendo Switch is very powerful and as of the build on the 8th February 2018, the developers had a 16 chunk render distance and an 8 chunk ticking distance. This was confirmed later on in the stream that it was in undocked mode as well.

As for the release of Minecraft Bedrock on the Nintendo Switch, the general manager of Minecraft, Helen Chiang, confirmed in an interview that it would be "coming soon" but no other news from her has been presented.

However, the developers have been bug testing it like crazy, particularly with the world conversion. They have been bug testing for a few weeks not but as on the 11th February 2018, it is not in certification testing yet.

From the above image, Aubrey Norris is asking ibxtoycat for a lag world to test the Bedrock performance. The developers are always trying to fix FPS and lag so Aubrey thought this was the best way to do it.
