Minecraft Pocket Edition/Bedrock: Why was the Super Duper Graphics Pack Delayed?

Around this time last year, Lydia Winters announced LIVE on the E3 Stage that 2 BIG things would be coming to Minecraft. The Better Together Update and the Super Duper Graphics Pack. While we have gotten the majority of the Better Together features (apart from Switch which is out next month) a few people have been wondering why the Super Duper Graphics pack has never released. Today, we got a few more answers.

While we always knew that they were rewriting the ENTIRE graphics pipeline, we never really got info. Until now.

Pemdas here confirms that they ran into major issues when it was announced. He also confirms that they have to change the code for both old and new existing stuff.

While they dont have internal release dates, this can mean that it is too early to tell when it will announce.
