Earlier today, Xbox One Edition received a small update for internal changes and a new button to prompt players to move to the new Xbox One Bedrock Edition.

Also Roger Carpenter (Executive Producer to Minecraft on Consoles) elaborated on the update and made these points:
• It will be coming to Switch Console Edition
• The Update Aquatic is still in the works for old gen platforms (XB360, Wii U, PS3/PS Vita) and PS4
• XB360 worlds after the Update Aquatic will transfer to XB1 Bedrock Edition

So with it being unfortunate the new gen (Xbox One and Switch Edition) platforms being discontinued (this update reaffirms that), why not try out the new Bedrock Edition for FREE!

There’s cross platform play with other platforms, infinite worlds and more! You can always still play the Legacy Console Edition (those who already own it) but give Bedrock a try. 🙂
